Thomas Sweeney, DDS

Dr. Sweeney received his Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics from the University of California, Davis in 1975, followed by a Master of Arts in Biology from California State University, Chico in 1977. He went on to earn his Registered Dental Hygienist certification from Foothill College in 1979. In 1984, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Washington and later completed his Certificate in Periodontics at the University of Washington in 1986.

He is a dedicated lifelong learner, regularly participating in continuing education to stay current with the latest technology and advancements in dentistry. Dr. Sweeney has been actively involved in professional organizations such as the Greater Eastside Study Group (Director/Coordinator), Mercer Circle, Seattle Study Club, Spear Study Club, ITI Study Club, GARDEN Company, Platinum Circle/Fortune Management, LANAP Study Club, and the Center for Leadership Maturity. These affiliations provide him with valuable opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and expand treatment options for his patients.
Dr. Sweeney is also deeply committed to his community and has been a major supporter of Seattle Children’s Hospital, particularly the Hydrocephalus Guild, as well as General Hospital Services Support.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sweeney enjoys skiing, riding his Harley, spending time with his family, playing with his golden retrievers, attending soccer games, and traveling. He also loves sharing good wine with friends and attending concerts whenever possible. Soon, he will experience the joy of becoming a grandparent for the first time.

Dr. Estrada was fully prepared. He thoroughly reviewed my X-rays prior to my arrival. I left 1.5 hours later with a root canal. Dr. Estrada and his assistant were amazing.
